High School Days

It was during my junior year in high school that the first school bus service, a Dodge panel, owned by Alvin Warner, started operating. Previous to this time I rode horseback during my Freshman and Sophomore year. I think it was during my sophomore year that I attended school in Phoenix for approximately two months. At that time my father was a member of the State Legislature and had taken my mother and me to Phoenix with him.

During my high school days, I played basketball on the Duncan High School team. I also played baseball, especially in the summers. I graduated from high school in May 1924.
